Reno: Living with Coyotes Workshop

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) will be holding a free community workshop for residents of Reno on August 14th from 6-8pm. These events are great opportunities to learn how to peacefully coexist with urban wildlife.

The event will have NDOW representatives,  including Jessica Heitt, Urban Wildlife Coordinator, and Pat Jackson, Wildlife Staff Specialist, as well as Wildlife Biologist Carl Frey with the USDA Animal and Plant Inspection Service.

During the two hour- long workshop, department representatives will provide the community with information on coyotes and what people can do at home and in their neighborhoods to limit attractants, prevent coyote habituation, and prevent conflicts. They will also answer questions from the audience, so feel free to come prepared with a few of your own.

Monday, August 14th
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The event is free and open to the public.
