Wild Nevada

If you haven’t already seen it, check out Wild Nevada on PBS! It airs on KNPB channel 5.1 on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm, Thursdays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 3:00 pm, and Sundays at 6:00 pm. You can also watch it online, or on the PBS video app. Wild Nevada is an ongoing TV series from 2014, where hosts Chris Orr and Dave Santina explore the silver state, discussing the wilderness areas, wildlife, scenery, history, and activities that the state hosts.

Follow the hosts on their adventures in season 4, where you will follow a scientist studying a bat cave, enjoy the scenery that the state parks have to offer, and more! Tonight’s episode explores the Basin and Range National Monument near Alamo and two State Parks, as the hosts travel from Alamo to Caliente, talking to park hosts about the history of the land.

This show allows you to explore the wild side of Nevada without leaving your home, or it may inspire you to explore new territory with family-friendly outdoor activities. Be inspired to go wild in Nevada, with this show. However, please remember to respect your wild neighbors when you do, by packing out what you pack in, don’t feed wildlife, and give animals their space!
