Wildlife Watching: Red Rock Canyon

Winter is a great time to get outdoors to try and spot wildlife in Nevada. Wildlife watching is a popular past time for nature enthusiasts. It’s a wonderful way to get some fresh air, practice identifying tracks, and to work on your wildlife photography!

Nevada offers scenic landscapes that are full of life. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (NCA) is just outside of Las Vegas and offers narrow canyons and scenic sandstone cliffs for the wayward adventurer. Keep a sharp eye out for roadrunners, bighorn sheep, black-tailed jackrabbits, and more! In fact, Red Rock Canyon NCA boast more than 100 species of songbird.

So, what are you waiting for!? Throw on your hiking shoes and head out to the trail!
