Wildlife Wednesdays: Bighorn Sheep Events

It’s Wildlife Wednesday! Here at Know Your Neighbors we are going to keep you up to date with upcoming wildlife events in Nevada and offer fun suggestions where you can go and observe local wildlife with friends and family. It’s great way to connect with nature and loved ones!

Nevada Department of Wildlife will be at Hemenway Valley Park on July 19, 28 and 31 offering informal classes for the public on desert bighorn sheep that take up residence around the Lake Mead area. Each class is scheduled from 1-3:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity for the public to get some fascinating, local information on this endangered species. Be sure to come prepared with your own questions to ask department representatives! Here is a satellite map of the area:
